Hello Internet, my name is Jordan and this is my blog for my course in Art & Design and any other personal artwork & doodles. Feel free to scroll through my work and leave any comments you may have. I hope to go to Uni and study either Animation, Game Design or Illustration. (All First and Second year work is removed from top labels bar so it is easier to navigate my Foundation Year work. They will return once i figure out a clean and neat way to present them

Media Paint
Steve Brodner (Satire)
Steve Brodner is an American satirical illustrator and caricaturist. I really like his 'washed out' style of painting, he first draws his images out and paints them in watered down paint/watercolours.

Satire/Painter research
Vincent Van Gogh is possibly one of the most popular 'abstract' artists known. Although most of his work wasn't appreciated until long after his death in 1982. The two paintings above are Starry Night (left) and a self-portrait (right) both using a form of abstraction known as Post-Impressionism. He used rough beauty, emotional honesty and bold colours. I love the blue and orange colours he uses, along with the natural swirls and paint brush strokes.
Jenny Saville is a British contemporary painter who is well known for her large-scale painted deceptions of nude women. She works and lives in Oxford, England. I quite like her 'messy' style of painting people but still keeping the realism.

Satire images/research
Images from research
These are some more serious ideas within Satire, I started to research up on these once my ideas were running dry to try & refresh my memory/change my idea whilst I have time.
This image links in with my Caricature ideas, this is the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi)
This is one of Tony Parsons' caricatures, for some he uses photoshop to create his own images & caricatures, whilst some others he uses Acrylic paints on paper.

My videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igkcb-BKAJo
The link to my silly string video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qQFj9pEkyI
The link to my paint video
I think the paint video turned out a lot better than the silly string and i may use this as part of my final piece. The video could look better slowed down more but may need cropping as it is quite long.
I think i want to edit my paint dripping on my face
I could have many diffent ones in the same room but different colour paint on each one
eg. Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Orange, Purple ect ect
Colours can link to emotions
Another idea i had whilst thinking of this is to just have paint dripping into a piddle in slow motion.
